The movie of the year is City of God, an exhilarating ride through the violent streets of Rio De Janeiro. It also has best direction as well as best performance by Leandro Firmino, who plays the vicious Li'l Zé.
It is followed by 28 Days later, another exhilarating experience, but this time in apocalyptic London.
